We knew as soon as we began moving ahead with adopting two older children that our little two-room apartment would not be enough space. It has been a great home for us, but we just needed more room. So we started thinking about what we could afford and look at what was available. We weren't looking to buy a house right away, but we came across a foreclosure that seemed to be less expensive than anything of a similar size we have seen.Well, we did it. We took the plunge. We have signed a contract on a house. (Yikes!) It is located on a cul-de-sac off of Butler Dr. in Wilmore. As you can see, it is a brick ranch with a finished basement. It has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and living room upstairs and a bedroom, bathroom, living room, laundry room, and office downstairs. The house is in good condition, but it has some very interesting color choices throughout that will need some immediate attention. And a LOT of cleaning.
The move isn't going to be far...it's just on the other side of Wilmore from where we are living right now. We are scheduled to close on March 17th, and then we will probably take our time cleaning and painting before moving in. We are very excited to own our first house, and we look forward to bringing our kids home.

Oh, I'm so happy for you guys! That is so exciting to get into a house. Matt and I aren't quite there yet, but I can imagine how fun it is to get a house... Sounds like it will give you a lot more room for the kids. Keep us updated and we'll keep you in our prayers... =o)
